About Ann
Ann Zimmerman grew up in Salina, moved away, and came back home. With an elementary education degree from Kansas State University and a law degree from Harvard, she began mediating professionally in 1988 in her position as staff attorney with Kansas Legal Services. Eggers & Zimmerman Law & Mediation was founded in 2003. Ann’s mediation experience is broad and deep. She has a trusted reputation across Kansas. Her mediation experience includes domestic cases, victim-offender cases, workplace personnel conflicts, employment discrimination claims, elder issues, higher education concerns, parent-youth challenges, government conflicts, community issues, small claims disputes, and farmer-lender mediations.
Ann has served as president of Heartland Mediators Association (now Heartland Dispute Resolution Association) and of the Alternative Dispute Resolution section of the Kansas Bar Association. She has served on the Kansas Supreme Court Advisory Council on Dispute Resolution. She also serves her local community. She is an elected member and past president of the school board for Salina Public Schools and is active in the Salina League of Women Voters. She performs as an award-winning singer-songwriter, and with her husband, Dexter Eggers – also an attorney – she runs a horse boarding stable near Salina.
